The August Creative Third Thursday this year is going to be a melding of the creative minds from the Chilliwack.Tech community and the rest of Chilliwack's creative economy. These two monthly meetups have been a day apart most months for over a year, but this month we are going to get together to highlight the local tech industry and hear how one Chilliwack software company journeyed from a hobby, to a growth company, to being acquired by a Fraser Valley hi-tech group. Be prepared for some insights, pitfalls, humour, and a glimpse of the future along the way. Although this story is about a hi-tech company, the lessons learned are certainly applicable to all involved in the creative economy.
