Colin Schmidt released his first full application, scoring software for the horse sport of vaulting in 1995 at age 16. After securing his first large customer, Horse Council BC, in 1998, he started research and development into what became V1.0 of Moxie.Build in 2002. He incorporated the company as Cnawlece at the end of 2003, bootstraping the software portion of the company with profit from network support work. In 2013 Cnawlece sold the network support half of the company to Spenst Technologies, in order to focus the company 100% on software. In 2017, Cnawlece has six developers working for clients from coast-to-coast, serving small business to enterprise clients.

As an active member of ACETECH and SRCTec the last couple of years, Colin has surrounded himself with mentors and top-notch education programs as Cnawlece launches Moxie.Build as a product.
